Details of the Grave Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – including acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.” The Investigation The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley. The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January. List of Charges The charging documents outline the 45 charges comprise: 15 counts of assault.
